|11:44 pm - And now for the pleasant part of the day ...|
Other than the two mood spoilers that I've already posted, I did enjoy the first day of faire. I arrived early and was greeted by a sea of friendly faces and warm embraces. I spent some time with my "boyfriend" Scott, and another good portion of the day with my favorite Pirate Princess, Sarah ... who as dubbed me Auntie Purple. She is the most adorable child and won my heart again when she decided her garb for this year should be purple. LOL. Yes, I'm one great big purple ball of corruption. Later in the evening, after hearing of Bonnie's passing I was sad, but my heart filled with joy when this precious child wrapped her arms around me and proclaimed that I am her favoritest auntie of all and she loved me best ... and that is saying a lot considering how many "aunties" she has.
The day was hot, but not as bad as it could have been. The rain held off. There were butterflies EVERYWHERE. I got to spend a little time with the both of the birthday girls ... and they both allowed me to use their shoulders to shed some tears for friends departed. There was laughter and there was SHOPPING. There was music, and smiles, and laugher, and tears. I received so many hugs that my sides are sore. There was a little snafu at the end of the day where I was unable to access the place my car keys were stashed, but fortunately I had my cell phone and was able to get a hold of someone to open the area.
Oh, and my new camera that I intended to take LOTS of pictures with ... I got three. LOL
Thank you to all the friendly faces that crossed my path this day. Now it is time for sleep.

Between AutumnCat's pics and your posts (nobody has the same perspective as you do), it feels so very...... oh, it's hard to articulate! You make me feel like i'm there, and yet sad to be "outside" at the very same time.
((( hugs ))) Will you/Would you mind delivering a few hugs for me? *smile* It will be a long time before i can get there again, and i'm not at all sure it will be the same, with things as they stand at present. So til then, i am *extra* thankful for your posts.

Wish I hadn't missed you.
BTW, have you heard about/seen the sword that is being using for the King's Knighting Ceremony this year (or at least did this week, as apparently they were unable to find his for some reason)? The word out is that if you know a child who hasn't been knighted, this is a good year...
... It was pulled out of storage, temporarily at least... having been King Henry who was's sword... (and yes, it's being treated nicely, according to the watcher in court who passed on the news)
